Life in the Thousand Islands

I took many photos this summer but the most interesting were from our trip to the Thousand Islands in upstate New York.

We are avid classic boat enthusiasts having an old "woody" in the garage under restoration. Our main purpose for this trip was to see the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, New York while the annual Classic Boat Show and Auction was underway. We stayed in a cabin on Black Lake.

Close by was Alexandria Bay, a weathered, northeastern waterfront community that becomes a hub for shopping, eating and fun during the summer months.  My newest painting is of the marina at the edge of town where boaters can park or house their boats after a day on the St. Lawrence River.
